I thought I let you guys have a look at what was on display at the Intel Advanced Technology Zone. Here's a snip ...
There was a special booth created by Intel and its partners to showcase their latest technologies and innovations. Among them were Apple ... demonstrating their Thunderbolt I/O technology. A NAS device from Promise was used and connected up to a Apple MacBook Pro via the Thunderbolt cable ... it can offer speeds of upto 10Gbps. The demo we saw, currently topped 4Gbps (one-way) ... not bad at all!

Everyone wants a video card with more ram, a faster frequency, more cuda cores, more stream processors, but do people often know what all of these things actually do? To most they are merely things you compare from one product to another in order to make a relatively informed decision, while not fully knowing what they are for. Sure a 950mhz core clock speed sounds good with 2gb of 5000mhz ddr5 ram, but what does that mean when comparing it to something on a completely different architecture? Read on and you will find out.

In this article we'll show you how you can setup your PC to watch all the video content from BBC iPlayer, whilst you're abroad ... using a software package from Indentity Cloaker.
BBC iPlayer is only available for British viewers living in UK. The iPlayer servers will detect your IP of your computer, and if you're based in the UK, then you'll be able to watch iPlayer in full. However, for many ex-pats living abroad, then you're out of luck as it's currently not available ... Period!

Of course, there are other ways around this by using free proxies. But remember free proxies are very slow and unreliable. If you do manage to find a safe, fast free proxy server to watch the BBC iPlayer, chances are it will be gone in a day or so. The other way is to setup your own proxy or VPN server if you have the technical know-how. However, you could get banned and blocked by your ISP, because what you're doing would break their terms of service.

But that's not enitrely true. Image courtesy of the BBC ... Click on the image to read more.
So what's the solution? Well, to be honest ... nothing's for free in this world, so one of the best and easiest ways around this, is to subscribe to a VPN/Proxy service that offers UK based IPs. This will enable you to run BBC iPlayer to stream video content directly to your PC. This works because the iPlayer will detect a UK based IP number of the VPN/Proxy server.

A recent report indicated that many iPhone users (and others as a matter of fact, including users of Blackberrys and Nokia) , are switching over to Android.
This comes as no surprise, when numerous mobile phone manufacturers have already taken up Google's Android as their main smartphone OS. Remember, the iPhone is just ONE smartphone from Apple (with different models obviously), but for an Android based phone, there are many models to choose from. It's simple. Just group together all the Android phone makers such as Samsung, Motorola, LG, Sony Ericsson, HTC and others, versus just one company, Apple ... or two if you count Blackberry into the equation (we didn't bother including Windows Phone 7). Now can you see why Google's Android OS is far becoming the dominant mobile phone OS of the future.

Click "Read more" to find out why Android is becoming more and more popular ...
