Performance Testing Part Two: Windows 7 Installed

Generally speaking the more you fill up a drive (any drive) the slower it will go, hence this second testing section where I install Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit and boot off it for a second go around of testing. Again we start with ATTO.

ATTO at Defaults

Win7-ATTOqueue4

Didn't lose much on the low end and the high end averages faster. I'll take it! Let's try queue 10...

ATTO at Queue10

Win7-ATTOqueue10

Same story here. Installing windows doesn't put much a dent in the ATTO performance, this is nice to see.

AS SSD

Win7-ASSSD

AS SSD shows better performance almost across the board. Crazy stuff.

CrystalDiskMark

Win7-CDM

Very similar performance here too, some tests score higher some tests score a bit lower. Overall there is less of a drop than usual.

Futuremark PCMark05

Win7-PC05

PCMark05 took a hit, though less of one than I was expecting. Often times performance drops by half or more in PC05 once there is data on a drive. I continue to be impressed.

Across the board the drive didn't lose much, if any, performance with Windows installed. I like it!

I think it's time to crack this thing open and see how OCZ did it, don't you?
