Installation

Ready for full install pictures? I moved my work computer into the Shinobi XL for testing purposes. This is the hardware used:
  • Gigabyte 990FX-UD7 motherboard (voltmodded).
  • AMD FX-8150 CPU (stock CPU cooler).
  • Adata XPG-2000 2x2GB RAM.
  • EVGA GTX280 GPU.
  • OCZ ZT Series 650W PSU.
  • Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB HDD.
  • BitFenix Shinobi XL case.

ShinobiXL-installed-overview

The cable management setup is excellent, please note the opening above the PSU. That opening is very rare, and very very nice to have.

The slots up top are just barely large enough to get the CPU power cable through. On the other hand very few cases even have slots there. Here's the view through the (huge!) side window:

Told you the window was huge. You get a little bit better view of the LLC voltmod up top on the motherboard too, that's for extreme benching use with dry ice or liquid nitrogen cooling.

Time for a rating, don't you think?
