Well, sure, why not? After all, we've seen plenty of gadgets running various versions of different operating systems (it was even rumored that someone managed to run Linux on a wrist-watch), so why not a camera? The good news is, now you don't have to worry about being stuck to an iPhone or Nexus II to capture those oh-so-important moments of everyday life. Thanks to Android, you can just carry a high-quality camera with you and download important software as you need it, and you can even share your pics over the internet. Unfortunately, you can't make phone calls, but that's next-year's project (I hope). However, you will be glad to know that you can take hi-def, 1080p videos, and you can of course enjoy all the same features included on smartphones (games, movies, and pictures, obviously). The 3.5" screen may not be the size you're used to, but that's probably all you would need anyway, and for everything you get, it's probably worth it. The Nikon Coolpix will be arriving in stores this September with a suggested retail price of around $350, which is not too bad for a camera-smartphone hybrid.
