Introduction

Since video cards these days throw off so much heat and get so noisy while doing so it only makes sense that there would be alternatives out there to replace those noisy stock heatsinks. Recently we reviewed the Accelero Twin Turbo II which was a perfect fit for the Radeon 7870 that overheated while being overclocked. Afterwards it clocked higher, ran cooler and was more quiet than it had ever been.

Well, Arctic has sent another cooler to tame a big hungry video card. This time we will be taking a look at the Accelero Xtreme 7970 made specifically for the Radeon 7970 video card. This cooler has another fan added on, as well as much more surface area to cool down a big video card.
