WTF?! ... 1280Gb storage on a smartphone! My Macbook Air will have the same capacity as one of these phones ... if and when they come come out. "At its Samsung Mobile Solutions Forum 2012 this week Samsung Electronics Comp., Ltd. (KSC:005930) announced that it had just initiated mass production of 128 GB NAND flash chips for mobile devices. Samsung first introduced 64 GB memory modules in Jan. 2010. Yet two years later, the only 64 GB smartphones are Apple, Inc.'s (AAPL) iPhone 5 and ASUSTek Computer Inc.'s (TPE:2357) Android Padfone. Beyond that HTC Corp. (TPE:2498) has a handful of premiere 32 GB models, while most of the rest of the Android pack are sitting at 16 GB or less of internal storage." Source: Dailytech |
