Superfast mobile speeds in the form of LTE-Advance can be found on a leaked variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 ... upto 100Mb/s and beyond?
"Samsung Electronics Co plans to sell a variation of its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone that will transmit data at nearly twice the normal speed, the head of its mobile business said on Monday.
J.K. Shin, also co-chief executive of the world's biggest technology firm by revenue, said the phone would be sold in South Korea as early as this month.

Samsung was in talks with several overseas carriers to take the phone, Shin told Reuters in an interview at Samsung's headquarters in Suwon, just south of Seoul. He declined to name the carriers. "We'll be the first with the commercial launch of the advanced 4G version of the smartphone," Shin said.
The new S4 will use LTE-Advanced 4G technology, an upgrade from conventional 4G called LTE, or long term evolution. LTE-Advanced offers data transmission at up to twice the normal 4G speed. The phones will be powered by Qualcomm chips. A movie download that takes 3 minutes with conventional 4G would take slightly more than 1 minute, Samsung said."

Desktop and Gaming "replacements" are now becoming more and more popular. And I can see why ... check out the latest gaming laptop from MSI. The specs are top class and will definitely pack a heavy punch, especially for gamers on the move!
"MSI has announced its new GE40 gaming notebook that combined an Intel Haswell-based Core i7 Core i7-4702MQ processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M GPU. The new high-tech gaming computer weighs 4.4 pounds and is less than an inch thick.

... The GE40’s body is constructed out of aluminum and can be had in two basic configurations featuring a 750 GB hard drive alone or the 750 GB hard drive combined with a 125 GB SSD. Both versions feature 8 GB of memory, dual USB 3.0 ports, and a single USB 2.0 port. “The GE40 was designed for mobile gamers seeking the best in gaming performance but not wanting to carry around larger laptops,” said Andy Tung, vice president of sales for MSI in the U.S. “Even though the GE40 is exceptionally light and nimble, it is still packed with high-performance components worthy of a desktop replacement unit.” The GE40 is available now and starts at $1,399.99."

First flying cars and now flying bikes? What is going on!! ... Some craxy researches in the Czech Republic has managed to get a 95kg (210lb) remotely-controlled bicycle to hover. Well, it's a start ...
"Flying cars are yet to take off - could bikes have a better chance? Researchers in the Czech Republic have unveiled a 95kg (210lb) remotely-controlled bicycle that can hover a few metres above ground for five minutes.
Carrying a dummy rider, the electric prototype successfully took off, flew around and landed inside an exhibition hall in Prague. The bike is powered by two battery-run propellers on the front, two on the back and one on each side.

The machine could help two-wheeled commuters avoid zigzagging through traffic jams - but it is not quite ready to hit the road - or the air above it - just yet. The batteries only allow for a few minutes of flight before needing to be re-charged.
"Because the capacity of batteries doubles about every 10 years, we can expect that in the future the capacity would be enough for the bike to used for sports, tourism or similar things," said the technical director of Duratec Bicycles, Milan Duchek."

Odd for Microsoft to do this .... I would have thought they would rather promote their mobile Office on smartphones running their Windows Phone 8 OS. I guess it's another way of making more money I suppose.
"After rumor upon leak suggested Microsoft was cooking up a release of Office for iOS, you'd think its arrival would be celebrated with streamers and cake. Making a rather low-key entrance, the app is now available to those with a small-screen iOS device and an Office 365 subscription.

You can create new Excel and Word files from scratch, or view and edit spreadsheets, docs and Powerpoint files stored on Microsoft's cloud services, or pinned to emails. Offline editing is also possible, as long as you've recently viewed or edited the file. You'll also be able to see any files you recently accessed at home if your computer is running Office 2013. You'll need an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 6.1 (there's no iPad version just yet), and the app is limited to the US at the moment, but head to the iTunes Store source link for the full feature list."

Sounds pretty neat ... its' basically a game jukebox that can hold upto ten retail titles. Not sure it will work 100% ... connection is via USB or ethernet.

"Physical media might lend itself well to the used games market (well, usually), but it does have a distinct disadvantage over digital purchases: you still have to get up and change that disc. It's a minor annoyance, but apparently enough of one to spark the creation of the Exeo Entertainment Extreme Gamer XG 10, an Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3 compatible game jukebox with room for ten retail titles. Unlike other Xbox 360 disc changers, however, this one won't void your warranty. According to Exeo Entertainment, the Extreme Gamer pipes disc data to the console through USB or ethernet ports."

We could be seeing two new models of the iPhone this fall ... one with a 4.7-inch screen and the other with a 5.7-inch screen. Upto 5 or 6 different colors with the smaller model being priced at $99. Apple declined to comment.
"June 13 (Reuters) - Apple Inc is exploring launching iPhones with bigger screens, as well as cheaper models in a range of colours, over the next year, said four people with knowledge of the matter, as it takes a cue from rival Samsung Electronics.

The moves, which are still under discussion, underscore how the California-based firm that once ruled the smartphone market is increasingly under threat from its aggressive South Korean competitor. Samsung has overtaken Apple in market share through the popularity of its bigger-screen Galaxy "phablets" and by flooding the market with a range of products at different prices.
Apple is looking at introducing at least two bigger iPhones next year - one with a 4.7-inch screen and one with a 5.7-inch screen - said the sources, including those in the supply chain in Asia. They said suppliers have been approached with plans for the larger screens, but noted it is still unclear whether Apple will actually launch its flagship product in the larger sizes."
