WTF!? ... you can "print" your own gun from a 3D printer. Doesn't just prints the gun ... the actual gun can be fired too!
"The world's first gun made with 3D printer technology has been successfully fired in the US. The controversial group which created the firearm, Defense Distributed, plans to make the blueprints available online.
The group has spent a year trying to create the firearm, which was successfully tested on Saturday at a firing range south of Austin, Texas.

Anti-gun campaigners have criticised the project. Europe's law enforcement agency said it was monitoring developments. Victoria Baines, from Europol's cybercrime centre, said that at present criminals were more likely to pursue traditional routes to obtain firearms."

I guessing because the PS4 has crapy hardware compared to the new and soon-to-be-announced Xbox from Microsoft.
"Sony's PlayStation (PS) 4 may have trouble achieving shipments of 12-16 million units in 2013 as expected, as the related upstream supply chain has not yet received any shipment instructions from the Japan-based vendor, implying a possible delay in the game console's mass shipment schedule, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.

Sony originally told its upstream suppliers that it will start shipping its new PS4 game consoles in June with mass shipments scheduled in August, and shipment volumes would have a chance to reach 20 million units in 2013."

The Apps market is a billion dollar market ... I can why Nintendo wants to get in there.
"Nintendo is trying to modify its game consoles so customers can use smartphone applications on them, as the struggling Japanese company aims to return to profitability.
The Japan Times reported Monday that anonymous company sources revealed the console maker is betting on third-party smartphone apps to spur device sales. This, in turn, will lead to a growth in popular game titles on its platform, it added. Nintendo will also focus on developing new software internally, the sources said.

Nintendo had posted a net profit of 7.1 billion yen (US$71 million) for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2013, which was below its forecast of 14 billion yen (US$142 million). It also reported a full-year operating loss of 36.4 billion yen (US$366.4 million) following worse-than-expected sales of its latest game console Wii U. This is Nintendo's second consecutive annual operating loss."

$199 for some pretty good specs ... 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and a 9" 1920x1280 display and 32Gb storage.
"Nook HD+ now priced at $179.99 and $199.99 respectively for 16GB and 32GB models. Barnes and Noble introduced the Nook HD+ last year in an effort to thwart the momentum that Amazon was gaining in the relatively low cost tablet arena with the Kindle Fire HD.

The Nook HD+ is backed by relatively stout hardware, bringing with it a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and a 9" 1920x1280 display. The tablet is available in 16GB and 32GB models, and if that isn't enough storage space, a microSD slot is also included for digital media packrats."

HP laptops ain't that bad ... though I do like Dell as well. Take look at the specs and see for yourself.
"The ProBook 430, 440, 455 and 470 range in size from 13.3 inches to 17.3, and are made of aluminum, with spill-resistant keyboards and a soft-touch paint job. With the exception of the 430, which ships in July with Haswell, they'll arrive this month with a mix of Ivy Bridge CPUs and AMD Richland chips. (Specifically, only the 14- and 15-inch models will be offered with AMD.)

Other particulars: they all have 1,366 x 768 matte displays (non-touch), with the 17-inch model stepping up to 1,600 x 900. All but the 430 can be had with an optional optical drive; if you skip it, there's a weighted placeholder sitting where the DVD burner would be."

It's crazy how small this thing is ... and it actually flies like ... hmm, like a fly.
"Scientists in the US have created a robot the size of a fly that is able to perform the agile manoeuvres of the ubiquitous insects. This "robo-fly", built from carbon fibre, weighs a fraction of a gram and has super-fast electronic "muscles" to power its wings.

Its Harvard University developers say tiny robots like theirs may eventually be used in rescue operations. It could, for example, navigate through tiny spaces in collapsed buildings. The development is reported in the journal Science."

If you are an Internet cafe surfer you should know you are facing a great risk, in the form of an easy-to-use but very effective data sniffing tool: Firesheep. This Firefox plugin can grant anyone from the same network access to your password-protected session with any site, like Facebook, Twitter or even your email provider. This can be very dangerous taking into consideration the amount of information we now keep online: pictures, documents, emails and even financial information can fall into the wrong hands if you don`t learn how to protect yourself in these situations.

Firesheep
Even amateur hacker can use Firesheep to hijack your session. With a simple double click they can get access to your personal information, emails and more. The plugin works by reading the unencrypted cookies that these sites use to authenticate your session, and then uses them to impersonate you. A simple, yet effective approach, this style of hacking is referred to as "side-jacking" and can be very dangerous unless you take the appropriate measures.
