The portable charging case is where all the magic happens. When fully charged, it can provide up to an additional 10 hours of charge + 5 hours from the wireless Jabra Elite 65t earbuds themselves.
The Jabra Elite 65t earbuds has a sleek and professional look to them and the build quality is superb. What’s more they’re also compact, small and extremely comfortable to wear.
Usage and Wearability
The Jabra Elite 65t is very compact and discrete, measuring just 27mm (L) x 30mm (W) x 22.5mm (H) in dimensions. It doesn’t protrude out too much, unlike the Apple Airpods which makes users look like really a$$h0les. Hahaha.
The right earbud seem to be the master unit. Hold down the button to pair and connect. Once connected, push once to start playing music.
The left earbud has the rest of the controls. Press the top edge of the button for volume up, hold down for skip/next track. Press the bottom edge for volume down and hold down for back/previous track.
Software
The downloadable mobile app allows to control the earbuds functionality, such as Ambience, Audio experience, Call experience and Voice assistance. There’s even a menu for music equalizer and firmware update.
Conclusion and Verdict
The Jabra Elite 65t is probably one of the best wireless earbuds I have used to date. Seriously, it’s really that good, so much so it wins our Editor’s Choice hands down.
The build quality is solid. The earbuds are compact in size, light-weight, and offers IP55 dust and water resistance. One of my most critical requirement for a wireless earbud is the size of the units. I hate wireless earbuds that protrude out too much, making you look silly and awkward. With the Jabra Elite 65t, they fit perfectly in my ears and doesn’t protrude out too much at all.
For talk time you get around 5 hours of continuous use, which is fine by me. The included portable charging case is a great added bonus, and provides protection as well as charging function, allowing upto 15 hrs of use.
The audio is quality is excellent for both listening to music, and answering calls. Although the unit does not offer active noise cancelling, the 4-microphone system enhances the overall sound by removing ambience (background noise). Basically it lets you block out, or let in, ambient sound thus giving you a listening experience, that sounds very similar to a headset/earbuds with active noise cancelling effect.
One interesting feature I notice when listening to music, is that you’ll never have to worry about wasting battery life when you remove one of the earbuds from your ears. The earbuds will pause playing music when you remove one of the earbuds from your ears. And if the earbuds are separated for longer than 60 seconds, the audio will not resume.
You can buy the Jabra Elite 65t Wireless Earbuds for only USD $169 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/2JIc4lu. At this price, I think it’s great value for money and I highly recommend you take a look at these earbuds as a good alternative to Apple’s Airpods.
