Antec Signature 1000W Platinum Power Supply Review

Today, we’ll be taking a look at the Antec Signature 1000W Platinum Power Supply. The power supply can usually be easily overlooked in an upgrade process. I feel the power supply is the workhorse of a system that never gets any credit. I rarely give mine any thought unless nothing happens when I push the power button and then we may have some serious issues. Power supplies have come along way over time and there are quite a few to choose from. These can range from being 80Plus certified bronze to titanium. If you are new to choosing the right power supply all that certification boils down to is energy efficiency. A bronze isn’t going to handle a power surge any better than a titanium. Today we have a platinum certified PSU and those are rated to have 89% efficiency at 100% load. It comes down to the amount of power provided vs the amount of power it pulls. If a power supply draws 100 watts and provides 89 watts of power, it has a energy efficiency of 89%. Less energy wasted. Power supplies can come in some pretty fancy get ups. In fact some are so clean and loaded with aesthetic features you may not want to hide them behind a cover. Well lets get to this review already and check out the Signature 1000W one we have today from Antec.

Equipped with superior features that ensure peak performance for the enthusiast and gaming-oriented segment, the Signature power supply Series boasts unparalleled stability and 80 PLUS® Platinum-certified efficiencies. Advanced thermal control with the Zero RPM mode enables the optimal balance between silence and cooling.
