I saw this monitor in person at CES2020 and have been waiting for the day I would get to show you guys one of the monitors Gigabyte would be releasing. Well that day has come! Big shout out to Gigabyte for providing the beauty we get to highlight today! We have in our hands, the G27F Gaming Monitor. Its not hard to describe the difference between a great monitor and a not so good monitor. And I’m not talking about frame rates. Because lets be honest its very hard for us to tell the difference between frame rates. I think they say that after 30 FPS the human eye cant tell? Anyways there is always that superhuman that probably claims he can, but you can definitely tell differences between Refresh Rate and Pixel Response. Those are very noticeable. So in my opinion, these are very important factors to consider when choosing a new monitor. Resolution has got to be 1080p at a minimum although it may be hard to find a newer monitor that doesn’t at least offer this native resolution. The larger the monitor the more important the Refresh rate and pixel response rate become. We all sit in a very close proximity to our monitors and the larger those monitor get the more we are going to notice flaws. So basically what I’m saying, is find a monitor with with a high refresh rate and a fast pixel response. Now lets get to the panel tech. I can keep this short and sweet. IPS only. They can be a little pricey compared to a TN but if you have ever had a TN panel, stood to the side and saw your screen color turn greenish then you know. If you haven’t trust me a stay away from TN panels. You will have some claim, “ahh man my TN will beat your IPS pixel response hands down”, well not anymore because this monitor has a 1ms response! That was true though, for some time but not anymore. There a couple of reasons why I am excited to show you guys this monitor. 1ms, 144Hz, and IPS are just a few to mention!

As you can see in the pictures below this monitor can be setup as a vertical monitor and done so, where the slim bezel can be either on the right or left. They do not advertise this probably because it doesn’t swivel to these positions. But all you have to do is take the 4 screws out of the back and turn the mount. Plus they probably intend this monitor to be the main monitor used. If you are like me and need a side vertical monitor then this one is perfect.
