Today we will be presenting the AORUS RGB DDR4 4800MHz Memory from Gigabyte! Now at the time of this review you actually cant purchase this exact model. You can find a 4400MHz kit on the Gigabyte website just not the 4800Mhz kit. So we will proceed as normal, just without pricing or availability information for now. When you first see the 4800MHz speed rating you may be like me and get really excited. These are some insane speeds and the CL19 isn’t bad either. So, if you have had the chance to use any memory kits that are rated at these speeds you already know these in fact may pose a challenge running at those advertised speeds. That’s just the honest fact that your mileage may vary and may not even run at those speeds. Yes they provide awesome results but stability and longevity can quickly come into play when you have RAM running at these speeds. I am excited to test these but also nervous they wont reach those speeds even if I max out VCCIO and SA. And I have to raise those values a lot, I am not really comfortable leaving the system at those values for everyday use. We do have a z590 and an i9 11900K to try this kit with, so it is our best opportunity to see those speeds, if we can get there. These are considered an extreme kit and should be treated as such. These have a ton of capabilities but may be capped depending on the rest of your system. Lets get to it and see what we can get out of this kit.
