HDHomeRun will turn any Android based TV into a DVR. It will even work on a NVIDIA SHIELD PRO (500GB). HDHomeRun is a kickstarter project and it is already attracting a lot of backers. So far pledges have reached more than USD $370,000.
Announcing the release of HDHomeRun RECORD for Android TV – a complete Android TV based DVR. Install on an NVIDIA SHIELD PRO (500GB) for DVR recording and playback in one box. You can watch on the SHIELD, on another Android device, or any platform with HDHomeRun VIEW. For other Android TV boxes you can connect a pocket-sized WDC 3TB Passport drive for storage.
Note: we recommend using an NVIDIA SHIELD or similar high performance Android TV box with Ethernet and USB 3.0 interfaces.
