Corsair RM1000x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Review

Today, we’ll be taking a look at the Corsair RM1000x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold fully modular power supply (white edition). It uses 100% Industrial-grade, Japanese primary electrolytic capacitors, that are rated up to 105°C for solid power stability and reliability. It features a powerful 12V single rail at 83.3A, giving you a total power output of up to 1000W.

It features a revolutionary side cable interface, an innovative side PSU panel with modular connections, that lets you comfortably plug in cables on to the side face of the PSU, making it easier to connect and manage your cables than ever before.

The PSU is fully ATX 3.1 compliant and 80 PLUS Gold certified. It also supports PCIe 5.1 standards and includes the 16-pin 12VHPWR power cable for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card.

It also comes with a low-friction 140mm fan with a fluid dynamic bearing. This along with Zero RPM mode, ensures your PSU will run cool, while staying virtually silent during idle.

It comes with Corsair’s Type 5 Gen1 micro-fit PSU cables, which means you’ll only need to use the cables that your system requires. Less cables means more space.

The package also comes with the white flat modular cables which includes … 24-pin ATX motherboard cable, 2 x 8-pin PCIE/CPU cables, 4 x PCIE power,  1 x 16-pin 12VHPWR cable, 4 x SATA power, and 2 x Molex.

You also get an impressive 10-year warranty, which is amazing.

I would like to send a big thank you to Corsair for the review sample! Here is a snippet of what they have to say about themselves on their website:
