These days as our gaming hardware gets better, naturally the expectations of gamers start to rise as well. While gaming at 4K isn’t quite there yet, most gamers these days at the very least expect support for Full HD. Thankfully it looks like the folks at Bandai Namco will not disappoint gamers with the upcoming Tekken 7.
In a tweet by Tekken 7’s game director Katsuhiro Harada, he has confirmed that the upcoming game will run at 1080p at 60fps on the PS4. Unfortunately his tweet only confirmed the specs for the PS4, meaning that as far as the Xbox One and the PC version is concerned, we are still in the dark about that.
Yes.
RT@Fast_Devilz Senpai, will Tekken 7: FR run at 1080p/60fps on the playstation?— Katsuhiro Harada (@Harada_TEKKEN) July 8, 2016
Now it is possible that the Xbox One and PC versions could also run at 1080p at 60fps, although in the past what we’ve see for the Xbox One is that either resolution will be sacrificed for a smoother frame rate, or frame rates have been sacrificed for a higher resolution. Or sometimes we see scaling in which in some scenes, we get 1080p at 60fps, but in more intense situations it gets scaled down to prevent any jerkiness.
Either way this is just speculation but with the Xbox One and PC version of Tekken 7 only coming in 2017, we guess we still have a bit of waiting before additional details can be confirmed.
