Thermaltake Watercooling Components
Thanks to Thermaltake, we’ll be using the Pacific RL240 D5 Hard Tube Water Cooling Kit for our loop.
Thermaltake Pacific RL240 D5 Hard Tube Water Cooling Kit
As part of its “hardcore” spirit towards the ultimate in custom PC water cooling, Thermaltake has launched the new Pacific RL240 D5 Hard Tube Water Cooling Kit. The kit is composed of one Pacific W1 CPU water block, one Pacific PR22-D5 pump and reservoir combo, one Pacific RL240 radiator, four V-Tubler PETG tubes, six Pacific G1/4 compression fittings (chrome), two Riing 12 LED red fans, one C1000 Opaque coolant red and other accessories. Together, these provide exceptional performance, unrivalled reliability, and styling to enthusiasts.
The kit consists of the following components …
CPU Water Block
Fittings
Fan
Tube
Coolant
Accessory

To match our color scheme of orange and white, we decided to paint the casing of the radiator white. This took some rather interesting skills to achieve 😛
The kit also comes with 120mm Riing fans which are RED. We decided to ditch them for Thermaltake’s Riing 12 LED RGB fans instead. The black fan blades are extremely boring … so again we decided to paint them orange … to go with the orange fan blades the graphics card.
Time to mount the Pacific PR22-D5 Pump/Reservoir Combo, the Pacific RL240 Radiator with the painted Riing 12 LED RGB fans.
We’ve added Thermaltake’s TtMod Sleeve Cable (Orange and Black) for tidy cable management and of course it looks great.
You’ll also notice the Thermaltake RGB light and fan controller underneath the radiator … we painted that white too 😛
Hard Tube Bending
This was probably one of the hardest part of the project build. Not only do you need the right equipment, but also need to draw out your flow plan and measure the correct length of the tubing.
To do the bends, you’ll need the Thermaltake Hard Tube bending kit, and a 1600W or higher heat gun. There are videos on Youtube on how to bend your tubes.
Next … we’ll be installing the motherboard and CPU in our next project log …
