It’s the weekend, so what better to do than to go shopping for some new Z270 motherboards. So we decided to take a short trip to Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong’s electronics Mecca!
We went to one computer store and there was a full cabinet, dedicated entirely of ASRock’s new Z270 motherboards.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t in the market for a Z270 motherboard from ASRock … I was after something a little more unique, a m-ATX Z270 motherboard. Not that rare, but still the choices were limited.
Why do I want a m-ATX Z270 motherboard you ask? Well, I’m actually upgrading the motherboard on our Project Ice Stream 2 system.
OUT with the old Z170 and IN with the new Z270. In the end we chose the Gigabyte Z270M D3H, which cost us around $1,010 (USD $130).
