Thanks to Zotac, we’ll be taking a look at their GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini graphics card. It’s the world’s smallest GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, measuring just 211mm (length) x 125mm (h) x 41mm (w). It’s ideal for anyone who wants the full power of a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in a HTPC or a mini gaming system.
It comes with all the features of a full length GTX 1080 Ti, but in a smaller package and slightly lower clock speed of 1506 MHz (default is 1582 MHz). You still get the 3584 CUDA cores, 11GB of GDDR5X ram, 352-Bit memory bus and 11GHz Gbps memory bandwidth.
A few months ago, we reviewed its bigger brother, the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition (11GB GDDR5X). It was an excellent graphics card that offered stellar performance. Now with a mini version, I would love to see how this card will perform, albeit at a slightly lower clock speed. The reason for the lower clock speed is, of course something to do with the size and its cooling. A smaller card means a small heatsink, and therefore less surface area for heat dissipation. By slightly lowering the clock speed from the default of 1582 Mhz to 1506 Mhz … the smaller heatsink should be able to cope with the excess heat.
Just look at the size of this graphics card, it’s tiny… only a little bit bigger than the size of my palm, and roughly the size of two mugs. Remember, it’s a full blown GeForce GTX 1080 Ti inside!

Looking at the specifications, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini is really no different from the the larger GTX 1080 Ti’s, apart from the actual clock speed. We’ll be testing this card on our test rig which is comprised of an Asus Maximus IV Hero (Z270) motherboard, along with an Intel Core i5-7600K at default clock speed of 3.8GHz, as well as 16GB of G.Skill Trident-Z DDR4-3200 ram in dual channel mode.
