Computex 2017 – Day 0, Nangang Exhibition Centre

Funkykit is proud to bring you an exclusive event coverage of Computex 2017 – Day 0, directly from the TWTC Nangang exhibition center in Taipei, Taiwan.

Computex is Asia’s biggest IT expo and exhibition, and it’s held in Taipei, Taiwan attracting more than 130,000 visitors every year. All the big names will be there including Intel, AMD, Microsoft and many more.

Here’s a little blurb taken from their website …

Established in 1981, COMPUTEX has witnessed the development and evolution of the global ICT industry for over thirty years. As ICT moves from traditional PCs toward the Internet of Things, COMPUTEX is also rebranding itself to maintain its position as the indexical B2B show in the Asian-Pacific market with the advantages of Taiwan’s complete ICT supplier chain. With Building Partnerships in Internet Computing Ecosystems as its new positioning from 2016, COMPUTEX aims to solidify its standing as a platform for releasing new products and technologies and for global ICT purchasing.”

After a short 1hr 30mins flight from Hong Kong to Taiwan, we finally arrived at Taoyuan airport in Taipei. We’ll start off with a quick vlog and coverage highlights…

First thing to do after luggage pickup, was to get on the free shuttle to our accommodation in Taipei city (privacy protected). The shuttle bus was provided by Computex organizers and will stop at to all the major hotels in Taipei.  Our accommodation was near the Grand Hyatt, so got off at that stop 😉

After settling down at our rooms and dropping off all our luggage and heavy equipment … it was time to go to Guanghua Digital Plaza and Ximen Walker
