KYON
In the Funkykit’s HK Pet Show 2016 articles, I looked at a few tech gadgets for pets, so our final pick for this list is in line with the pet theme. KYON is the first pet collar with embedded GPS technology and the only one with LED display that makes communication with your pet even easier. You no longer have to guess what your pet is feeling.
With its slimline look, the KYON is packed full of features. Its GPS tracking allows you to via a smartphone app see where your pet is, and as it also has Bluetooth if your pet leaves your side by outside of the ‘safe zone’ of 65 to 300 feet, a notification is automatically sent to you.
The LED display on the KYON can alert you if your pet is too hot (via a temperature sensor) or that it is not well because of long periods of inactivity.
The next 2 functions I’m not too impressed about, for the pet’s well-being. It has a ‘pacifier’ mode in which if your pet gets too active the KYON can trigger a high frequency alert that your pet will hear and halt whatever they are doing. The high frequency pitch alert is also used in the ‘Shhh’ function which helps to prevent your dog from barking……
