How to Apply Thermal Paste on Your CPU

So let me ask you a question … How do you apply thermal paste on your CPU?

Well in today’s video, we’re going to show you how to do just that!

Applying thermal past is important as it will help transfer the heat more effectively from the CPU to the heatsink or waterblock.

I use Arctic MX-4 thermal compound, which is pretty good. They’re cheap and affordable and you can buy these from Amazon. The links are down below.

Now there are several ways of applying thermal paste … some use a single pea-size drop, while others use a intricate design such as five dots or an X shaped pattern.

I personally use a pea-size drop. Now I know a lot people say that’s not eonough, but all the years I’ve building PCs … I haven’t encountered a single problem. But, having said that, I think it’s time for a change.

Whatever the method you use, here’s a quick video, to show you how to apply thermal paste on your CPU, and the results you’ll be getting. Enjoy.
