An exclusive event coverage of MSI including their VR PC Backpack, Gaming Laptops, GTX 1080 and Aegis Mini PC at Computex 2016, direct from the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall, Taipei. We take a look at the MSI booth at this year’s Computex. Let’s see what they’ve got in store for us in 2016!
MSI
MSI is a Taiwanese multinational information technology corporation headquartered in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Their products include laptops, notebooks, complete systems, Mice, keyboards and PC accessories … however, MSI is best known for its motherboards and graphic cards.
At this year’s Computex, MSI showcased their VR experience in the form a PC Backpack along with HTC’s Vive VR headset. It’s powered by an Intel Core i7 processor mounted on a mini ITX motherboard, along with Nvidia’s Geforce GTX 980 graphics card. The whole system is encased in a light-weight aluminium chassis, weighing in at around 4-5 kilos.

There were some modded PCs on display, including a mod which was shaped in an 80’s style arcade machine. Another PC was modded to look like a claw vending machine … absolutely nuts! (but beautiful).
