We had as a wonderful day at the Maker Faire HK 2017 … The weather was hot and humid, but that didn’t deter Team Funky Kit from hosting the booth and having a great time with the crowds! We showcased our Project MakeMeCooler Doraemon PC build (a Cooler Master sponsored project), Ice Stream 2, as well as our latest Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero test rig. The event was streamed LIVE via Facebook pages. Special thanks to Trouffman from Overclocking-TV and our partners Cooler Master for making this happen.

There were many visitors at the Maker Faire HK 2017 … The crowds coming thick and fast. We have many asking about PC modding and overclocking. Team Funky Kit was more than happy to answer those questions.
Event Opening and Introduction
To kick off the LIVE stream broadcast at the Maker Faire HK 2017 in PolyU, we invited special guest Trouffman from Overclocking-TV. We talk about PC modding, overclocking and the hardware used for our first official LIVE stream broadcast from exhibition grounds (with a 4G mobile hot-spot).
Tube Bending Techniques
Unfortunately, due to the booth’s power limitation set at 500W (total), we were unable to demonstrate our live hard tube bending session, as our heat gun requires 1600W. So instead, we explain some of the hardware required and techniques used for hard tube bending. In our next live stream, we will be filling our loop with coolant and overclocking the system with the help of Trouffman.
Prize Giveaways, Competition Winners and Announcements
We chose a winner for our Noctua Silent Fans Competition. The lucky winner is Alessandro Ditta from Italy. Please claim your prize within 7 days. We also announce a new competition … “Win a Pair of Steelseries Siberia 350 Gaming Headset“.
And finally, we decide to give away Cooler Master Goodies to some local participants of the Maker Faire HK 2017. Check out the videos!
