As part of our end-of-year PC project build (Project WhiteOut), we decided to spay paint the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti with a Gorgeous White Colour.
It’s been a while since I spray painted anything, but hopefully everything will go smoothly. First off, we need to disassemble the graphics card and remove the fans, metal backplate and the front shroud.
Dis-assembling the GPU
Dismantling the GPU isn’t as taunting as you might think. Just make sure you organise the screws accordingly. The worst thing to do, is to have a pile of screws without knowing which screw goes where.

Let’s get creative
Give the fans, metal backplate and the front shroud a good clean with some wet wipes to make sure there’s no dust. After we prepared the fans, metal backplate and the front shroud, the next thing to do is to give these items a couple of layers of primer. You can get these at Amazon – https://amzn.to/47rATg6
Give it at least 15-20 mins for each layer to dry.
Next, we apply 2-3 coats of the gorgeous white colour. Spay evenly and not too close to the items. Again, give it at least 15-20 mins for each layer to dry.
After the final coat of paint, we recommend to leave all the pieces to dry for a further 24 hrs.

Re-assembling the GPU
This will be the last chance for any paint top-up and inspections before reassembly. After all the separate pieces are fully dry, it’s time to reassemble the graphics card. Make sure you have a smooth and soft surface to work on, this will help reduce scratches on your precious paint work. You may want to wear gloves if you prefer.
If you’ve organised all the screws like we suggested, then the reassembly shouldn’t be a problem.
The Finished Item
Once all the pieces are securely screwed in, and the graphics card are fully reassembled, give yourself a pat on the back and congratulate yourself … I did! 😀
Now, enjoy the awe and wonder of your new look all-white graphics card. And since it’s all-white, you can even add extra colours or stickers of your choice, for that extra flair.
We will be using the newly painted Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti in a gorgeous white colour, for our end-of-year PC project build (Project WhiteOut), so watch out for it when it’s completed.
You can buy the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming OC graphics card for around USD $790.99 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3oqzLaZ
