Chassis Preparation
The Hyte Y70 (Non-touch) is a fantastic dual chamber mid-tower chassis, which we had the pleasure of reviewing a while ago. It has a ginormous interior with plenty of room for cooling and installing large components. It’s perfect for our PC build.
Motherboard Installation
During our installation, the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS PRO X motherboard fitted nicely inside the Hyte Y70 chassis. There’s plenty of room inside the chassis, so you can really dig your hands in there 😀
PSU Installation
Since the Hyte Y70 is a dual chamber chassis, the PSU is out of sight as it’s installed behind the motherboard tray/plate. This means you can really hide those unsightly cables 😛
The velcro traps on the bottom of the chassis really helped with my cable management. Now I can tidy up those messy looking cables with ease. During our installation, we used a white 24-pin ATX power extension cable for the motherboard and a white 12VHPWR PCIE5.0/ATX3.0 extension cable for the graphics card as well. This will help reduce the amount of black cables used.
AIO Installation
The Intel Core i9-14900K is cooled by Gigabyte’s AORUS WATERFORCE X II 360 ICE All-in-One CPU Cooler. I love the magnetic fans that comes included with the package. Everything fitted nicley with no issues whatsoever.
For extra cooling we also used 3 x Thermaltake CT140 ARGB fans … 2 on the bottom of the chassis and 1 on the back. We also used an additional 3 x Thermaltake SWAFAN EX 12 ARGB Sync fans, on the right-side of the chassis for extra cooling.
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Preparation
We decided to paint our Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card a gorgeous white colour. First of all, we needed to carefully disassemble the fan shroud and backplate. Next we at least 2 coats of primer, then another 2 or 3 coats of the white colour.

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Installation
The Hyte Y70 chassis is designed in such a way that the graphics card can ONLY be mounted vertically. Thanks to its high-quality PCIE 4.0 riser cable and ginormous interior, installing the fairly large Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti was child’s play.
For aesthetics, we used a white 12VHPWR PCIE5.0/ATX3.0 extension cable for the graphics card. The braided cables and cable separator just makes the whole thing look a lot better. The included 12VHPWR cable that comes with the power supply looks so thick and fugly!
