WHAT: RazerGO is a location-based chat messenger by Razer™ for Pokémon GO™ that allows users to discover and chat with fellow Pokémon® trainers in a scalable radius from 5 km/3 mi. (local) to 100 km/60 mi. (regional) to 1,000 km/600 mi. (global). Users can toggle between public, team or whisper chat modes and can be identifiable by team color. An upcoming feature will allow users to drop “Beacons” on the map that other players can see and interact with, unlocking a regionalized chat room.
The interface seamlessly fits into Pokémon GO on both Android and iOS platforms. A web version is also available for users.
Guided Pokecrawls along multiple routes will take place around RazerStore San Francisco, with giveaways and special promotions at the store and online. Razer will drop Lures available to RazerGO users on hosted Pokecrawls.
WHY: Razer leveraged its unique chat technologies to enhance the Pokémon GO experience for gamers worldwide, connecting players to each other on-the-go, online and at Razer-hosted live events.
WHEN: The Pokecrawls will commence around 6 p.m. on July 20, 2016.
RazerStore festivities will begin at 7 p.m. on July 20, 2016.
RazerGO Web client version will go live on go.razerzone.com a.s.a.p. on July 20, 2016.
RazerGO Android and iOS versions are scheduled to go live on July 25, 2016 or a.s.a.p., pending approvals for the respective marketplaces.
