Closer Look
The S400 roughly measures 6″. The entire unit is round with a small flat area allowing for a sturdy base. The grill material is strong and can take pressure being applied to without the grill buckling and caving in. the buttons are nice and have a rubber feel to them. The entire speaker is black with a few grey shades for buttons and writing. The speaker is clean and simple in design.
S400
The S406 has a black metallic grill material with a form fitting rubber housing. The rubber has a decent thickness and could act as a good bumper protecting the speaker from drops. All the controls are isolated to one side of the speaker with a small opening for the charging ports. The overall feel and look of this speaker is quite enjoyable.
