Reportedly Citing Conflicts With Nvidia
Wow! … news just in. After a decade-long partnership, EVGA will no longer work with Nvidia and will exit the GPU market. It’s a REAL shame … that begs the question, will they jump on AMD’s bandwagon and start producing Radeon graphics cards?
Taken from Tomshardware … EVGA, often considered Nvidia’s top add-in-board partner, is making a drastic shift. It’s done doing business with Nvidia and will stop making GPUs altogether. That’s according to YouTube channels JayZTwoCents and GamersNexus, which both sat down with EVGA CEO Andrew Han to discuss his frustrations with Nvidia as a partner and reasoning for making the decision. Jon Peddie Research also published a brief article on the matter.
“We are not going to be on [Nvidia CEO] Jensen [Huang]’s lap on stage, so I don’t want people to speculate what’s going on [when we’re not there],” GamersNexus Steve Burke quotes Han as saying. “EVGA has decided not to carry the next gen.”
When asked for comment, EVGA product management director Jacob Freeman pointed Tom’s Hardware to its forums, where the company offered the following message:
“EVGA is committed to our customers and will continue to offer sales and support on the current lineup. Also, EVGA would like to say thank you to our great community for the many years of support and enthusiasm for EVGA graphics cards.”
EVGA also confirmed that it will not carry the next generation of GPUs, that it will support current generation products, and that it will “continue to provide the current generation products,” though it didn’t specify for how long.

Why?
EVGA stated that a lack of communication and cooperation between both companies led to this moment. The CEO further clarified that NVIDIA doesn’t communicate with them properly. The Green Team keeps such a tight lip that even the MSRP for their upcoming GPUs are not specified to the literal AIBs who’re producing them until it is publicly revealed on the stage.
This has resulted in financial concerns for the company, unaware of how to price its product before releasing it. Things have gotten so bad to the point that EVGA is almost always left with extra stock at the end of the generation’s life cycle with huge losses faced towards the start. This additional inventory is then sold off at even further losses resulting in six-figure debts for the company.
