Armiga – Amiga 500 Retro Gaming Console

Remember the good old early PC days of going around to your friends house for couple of matches of Kick Off? Or how about endless nights up trading your way through Elite? Well now you can literally replay all those Amiga games via an Armiga.

The machine, which we call, the Armiga, is a beautiful piece of modern technology. It’s built around a modern Dual Core ARM CPU, that plays together with our custom made floppy controller. This is the key of the machine: We’ve developed our own controller, able of reading Amiga disks, decode them and make them available for executing. Sounds simple, right? The base Armiga aims to emulate the original Amiga 500 with 1MB of RAM as close as possible to the original one. And for you not to get your hands dirty, a fully legal copy of Kickstart 1.3 is provided with every Armiga!

The system dual boot system:

  • Armiga OS when microSD card is inserted
  • Android booted from NAND when there is not microSD

The Armiga comes in 2 flavors where both the casing is made via 3D printing; an FDD version and a smaller FDD version. FDD? That’s a 3.5″ Floppy Disk Drive!

You won’t have to worry about TV output as both models come with an HDMI port (16:9 and 4:3 formats), and for internet access when you’re not gaming, an ethernet port. It also supports a wide variety of gamepads, some of which are listed on their website.
