Things are heating up … both Galax and Gigabyte have “confirmed” they will be releasing a GeForce RTX 3080 with 20GB VRAM … along with a mainstream gaming card the GeForce RTX 3060. Let’s see if these cards will the see the light of day.
Taken from Videocardz … The company has held a meeting with either employees or key partners in China. The logo in the upper left corner confirms that the slide belongs to Galax. The manufacturer is planning to introduce GeForce RTX 3080 20GB model, which would slide right in between RTX 3080 10GB and GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards. There seem to be no plans for Geforce RTX 3090 successor or upgrade, at least not on this slide.
For the first time, we can also see GeForce RTX 3060 listed on a roadmap, although without the Ti suffix. This graphics card is expected to feature TU106 Ampere GPU. At this time we are unsure if this SKU is the same as RTX 3060 Ti, or there have been plans to release the non-Ti model first.
A model codenamed PG142 SKU 0 is also listed. This model has been known as GeForce RTX 3070 SUPER or 3070 Ti. This card features a full TU104 GPU with 6144 CUDA cores.
