Razer™, a world leader in connected devices and software for gamers and a pioneering supporter of competitive gaming, today announced its title sponsorship of North America-based Denial eSports. The eSports organization is known for teams competing in “Call of “Duty®,” “Halo™,” “League of Legends™,” and “Smite™.”
Among other considerations, the Razer and Denial deal provides the eSports team with gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, mouse mats and Razer’s professional-grade Wildcat Xbox One controller. Razer’s broadcasting product lineup, including the Stargazer webcam, Seiren Pro microphone, Ripsaw capture card and the Razer Cortex: Gamecaster streaming platform will also be used by Denial, providing a complete gamer ecosystem—hardware and software included.
“We’ve been using Razer products before we even started our journey to become professional gamers,” said “Smite” Jungler, Suharab “Masked” Askarzada. “To be officially a part of Team Razer is an incredibly exciting day for us personally, as well as professionally.”
Denial eSports is the latest big name to join Team Razer’s professional ranks. Since the team’s founding in 2014, Denial has won world championships for “Call of Duty” and “Gears of War.” The team also finished second in the world in “Smite.” Denial eSports was named “Halo” UGC and “Call of Duty” UMG champions.
“Denial is one of the most accomplished teams in North America,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “We’re thrilled that they are now officially a part of Team Razer.”
Razer was the first company to sponsor a professional gamer in 2000 when it sponsored Jonathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel with the Razer Boomslang, the world’s first gaming mouse that helped shape the multi-billion-dollar gaming peripherals industry. Today, Razer sponsors more than 20 teams and upward of 200 competitive players in 20-plus countries worldwide.
