Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has set a new concurrent player record with over 1.5 million people in the game at the same time. That’s higher than any other title on Steam, significantly surpassing the 1.29 million peak reached by Valve’s DOTA 2. PUBG continues to grow at a rapid pace and has been for months.
DOTA 2 and PUBG are the only two games in the history of Steam to pass 1 million concurrent players.
An Xbox One version is in the works, which will bring even more players into the title. And the developer is interested in exploring a single-player mode.
