Since MSI are huge partners with Intel … it’s very unlikely you’ll see a Ryzen 4000-Series laptop anytime soon. So, they’ll have to contend with releasing their “new” Stealth laptop powered by Intel’s (*cough*) flagship Core i9-10980HK processor.
Taken from Videocardz … MSI spilled the beans on Intel’s upcoming Core i9-10980HK processor. Their leaked marketing materials confirm that the new flagship CPU will boost up to 5.3 GHz (Thermal Velocity Boost).
The Stealth GS66 is an upgrade over GS65 in terms of design, connectivity but also in terms of the specs. The new series will feature the Comet Lake-H series of processors with up to 8-cores and 16-threads.
The top-tier model (GS66-10SGS) features Core i9-10980HK processor and NVIDIA’s yet unreleased GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q. In other words, this laptop will have the best graphics card on the market, as AMD currently offers no alternative.
The CPU will be competing against AMD’s Ryzen 9 4900H(S), which is featuring 8-cores and 16-threads, but unlike Intel Core i9, it is designed in a 7nm fabrication process. This AMD processor can be found in ASUS’ G14 ROG Zephyrus laptop paired with RTX 2060 graphics, you can find reviews of this notebook here.
Various retailers have already listed the MSI laptop for 4200-4400 EUR. Obviously you can find other variants of this laptop with Core i7-10750H processor and RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics, both products still not officially introduced.
According to the seller, the MSI Stealth GS66 is currently expected to ship in May.
