WTH? A notebook for USD $89!! The Pinebook from Pine64 is powered by a ARM Cortex-A53 cores, and comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of eMMC storage with microSD support. Other features include a 10,000 mAh battery, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 2x USB 2.0 connectivity, and a mini HDMI port.
Back in November last year, Pine64 has unveiled extremely affordable Linux laptop called the Pinebook. It looks like the development is over as the notebook is now available for purchase, and to order one, you need to enter an email address so the sales team can contact you.
Two versions are available priced at $89 and $99, but both have only a 30-day warranty and the company accepts no returns. They have very similar specifications, including the TN panel with 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution (11.6- and 14-inch), Allwinner A64 processor with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of eMMC storage with microSD support, a 10,000 mAh battery, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 2x USB 2.0 connectivity, and a mini HDMI port.
