AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GPUs Final Specifications Leaked

According to rumors online … the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT will perform slightly below the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, however leaked benchmarks shows a surprising 1% difference in performance. Remember this card isn’t meant to be an upgrade or replacement to the Radeon RX 7900 XTX. In fact, with a MSRP target price of around USD $699, it’s meant to compete against Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 Ti / RTX 5070.

Taken from Videocardz … AMD has confirmed the full specifications of the Radeon RX 9070 series. Both Radeon RX 9070 cards, launching next month, are equipped with the same Navi 48 GPU, featuring 53.9 billion transistors across a 357 mm² die. Each SKU will have different specifications.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT will have a full configuration with 64 RDNA 4 Compute Units, 64 Ray Accelerators, and 128 AI Accelerators. This card has 4096 Stream Processors, clocked at 2400 MHz (game clock) and up to 2970 MHz (boost clock). AMD estimates single-precision compute performance at 48.7 TFLOPS.

The Radeon RX 9070, has 56 Compute Units, which also means 56 Ray Accelerators, 112 AI cores, and 3584 Stream Processors. This model has lower clocks of 2070 MHz (game) and 2540 MHz (boost), as we reported exclusively over a month ago.

AMD confirms that both cards will ship with 16GB GDDR6 memory clocked at 20 Gbps. Both cards use a 256-bit memory bus, providing a bandwidth of 640 GB/s. It’s also worth noting that AMD confirmed 64 MB of 3rd Gen Infinity Cache on both cards.

Regarding PCIe specifications, the XT model has a 304W TBP, and the non-XT has a 220W TBP out of the box. However, keep in mind that AMD also confirmed that the images shown are renders; there are no reference cards for this generation. Other documents clearly state “RX 9070 XT AIB Only,” indicating that this launch will be exclusively carried by board partners. Additionally, the PCI Express specification is 5.0 x16.
