Intel 11th Gen “Rocket Lake” specifications and line up has been allegedly leaked. The leak also has slides comparing gaming performance with AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. It’s worth pointing the slides have the old Intel logo and font so could be fake.
Taken from VideoCardz…There are new slides with 11th Gen Core series specifications as well as Core i9-11900K gaming performance making rounds around the web. The slides that were posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, do not have the new styling and fonts that Intel is using since the company changed its logo and marketing materials. This either means that the slides are fake or they were made before the transition.
The full specifications of Core i9 and Core i7 were shared in a single slide. The specs list lacks Core i5 and Core i3 parts. As mentioned before, both the Core i9 and i7 will feature 8-core CPUs. The flagship Core i9-11900K(F) is expected to boost up o 5.3 GHz thanks to Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB), according to the slide. Meanwhile, the fastest Core i7 part, the 11700K will not feature TVB technology, which is the main difference between the Core i9 and i7 series. What it means, in this case, is that the series will boost 300 MHz lower than Core i9.
Intel will offer each high-end SKU in five variants. The K and KF series represent the top offer with TDP up to 125W. The only difference is a lack of integrated “UHD Graphics 750” based on Xe architecture on the KF part, which requires a discrete graphics card to be used alongside the CPU. The non-K series will be locked to 65W and offer up to a 5.2 GHz boost. This part will have the base clock reduced to 2.5 GHz out of 3.5 GHz on the K-series. Finally, the Core i9-11900T, which is the 35W TDP model, will be locked to 4.9 GHz in boost state while the base clock will be significantly reduced to 1.5 GHz, 2 GHz lower than the flagship K variant.
Unfortunately, the slide lacks a pricing column, which is a bit strange considering how close we are to Intel formally introducing the series. It is just a little over a week before Intel is expected to formally introduce its new series.
Another slide that was posted shows Core i9-11900K in gaming. Instead of comparing the CPU to Ryzen 9 5900X as Intel did previously, the CPU is compared to the current flagship, the Core i9-10900K. According to the slide, the new Rocket Lake CPU would be up to 14% faster in 1080p gaming at high quality in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It wouldn’t be much slower in Total War: Three Kingdoms, with framerate up to 13% higher in 1080p gaming. In games such as Gears 5 or Grid 2019, Rocket Lake-S CPU is expected to offer 9% to 8% higher performance than Comet Lake-S flagship. Do note, however, that the leaked slide does not actually say what is being compared. We assume that this is the average framerate, but it could just as well be loading times, 99th FPS percentile and so on.
