Leaked pictures have been floating around in the last few days, and already some extreme enthusiasts have managed to overclock the Core i7-7700K to a whopping 6.7GHz on LN2, while its sibling the Core i5-7600K managed to reach 5.1GHz on Air cooling.
Apparently, naughty HKEPC broke all the NDAs and was behind it all. They managed to overclock the Core i7-7700K to 6.7GHz. An ASRock Z170M OC Formula motherboard was used along with GALAX HOF DDR4 RAM. The multiplier on the Core i7-7700K was increased to x67, while the bus speed remained untouched.
Facebookhk posted their overclocked result of the up-and-coming Kaby Lake processor, the Core i5-7600K. It reached a very respectable 5.1GHz on air cooling using an ASUS Maximus VIII Gene motherboard. The multiplier was increased to x40, while the bus speed was adjusted slightly to 127.51MHz, with the voltage set at 1.504v.
