Poor Intel … they are trying their best. These new 500-Series motherboards, along with their 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S processors will probably be launched around March of 2021. Sadly, they’re still using 14nm, but it might support for PCIE 4.0!.
Taken from VideoCardz … A roadmap for the Rocket Lake-S motherboards has leaked, confirming that both the CPUs and motherboards will launch in the same month – March 2021.
Although the series will be the last to feature an LGA1200 socket, Intel is planning a full range of chipsets, including workstation W580, high-end gaming Z590, H570 and budget-oriented B560 and H510 series.
According to the roadmap, the gaming 500 series is due to launch in late March, which is more or less the same timeframe we mentioned in our article. Intel is allegedly planning to launch its Rocket Lake-S processor series in the 10th week of 2021 (so mid-March).
No HEDT update in the next 8 months
It seems that Intel will not update its enthusiast HEDT platform in the next eight or so months. The roadmap ends on June 2021 and there is no successor planned for the X_99 series during that time.
