Well, if Asus gets to leak their Z490 motherboards … MSI ain’t going to sit on their laurels. They’ve decided to join the party and leak their own Z490 motherboards too!
Taken from Videocardz … Just today we shared the leak with MEG Z490 GODLIKE, MSI’s flagship Z490 motherboard. It seems that KOMACHI has another three Z490 motherboards to show, all from MSI.
The MEG series, usually featuring GODLIKE and ACE motherboards are designed for enthusiasts who do not mind spending just as much on the motherboard as they do for the CPU. This is especially interesting considering LGA1200 based motherboards are probably not going to stay for a long time, as Z490 is only expected to support Comet Lake-S and Rocket Lake-S CPU series, while Alder Lake-S is already rumored to feature LGA1700 socket. In other words, the Z490 motherboards from MSI are at most going to support 2 generations of Intel Core processors, unless rumors are incorrect.
KOMACHI leaked MEG Z490 GODLIKE, MPG Z490M Gaming Edge WiFi (first Mini-ATX motherboard to leak from Intel 400 series), MPG Z490 Gaming Plus and Z490-A PRO. The MPG represents the upper mid-range segment in the MSI lineup. We also expect the MAG series (with models such as Tomahawk) to be leaked later. The Z490-A PRO is the most basic model (expected to be the cheapest Z490 from MSI).
