Reportedly, it’s twice as fast as RTX 3090 and could be anncounced as early as mid-July.
It will use the AD102 GPU and come with 16,128 CUDA cores and a power consumption of 450W TDP! Upgrade your PSU now … we recommend a minimum of 1000W or higher 😛
Taken from VideoCardz … NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 is to feature 126 Streaming Multiprocessors, which gives 16128 CUDA cores in total. That’s a lot less than previously rumored 140-142. As a reminder, the full AD102 GPU features 144, which means 2304 cores will be disabled on the flagship RTX 40 GPU. One should note that RTX 4090 Ti is more than likely to follow later, featuring even more cores.
Furthermore, kopite7kimi provided a new estimate on RTX4090’s TDP. It is no longer 600W, but 450W instead. That said, the 600W spec might refer to the 4090 Ti model, while 450W is exactly the same metric as RTX 3090 Ti, which was considered a ‘test vehicle’ for AD102 GPU. The RTX 3090, to which RTX 4090 is being compared to as ‘twice as fast’ has a TDP of 350W.
OK, let’s do a new summary.
RTX 4090, AD102-300, 16128FP32, 21Gbps 24G GDDR6X, 450W, ~2×3090.
I am disappointed with RDNA3.
That’s all.— kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi) May 16, 2022
Kopite reiterated his claims on RTX 4090 memory specs. The card will feature 24 GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 21 Gbps. This means 384-bit memory bus and over 1 TB/s bandwidth.
According to the leaker, GeForce RTX 40 series are to launch in mid-July.
