No, you are not reading it wrong. A Twitter user that goes by the name of “Strife, la fillette révolutionnaire” installed and played Crysis directly on the Geforce RTX 3090 VRAM.
What the user did was installed some VRAM drive software which enabled the user to create a partition on the Geforce RTX 3090 VRAM.
I installed Crysis 3 on my graphics card!
I used some VRAMdrive software called GPU Ram Drive, made a 15GB NTFS partition on the GPU, then installed Crysis 3 on it

The user ran the game at 4K resolution with high settings and had an average of 75 FPS. I think you can say that the Geforce RTX 3090 can definitely run Crysis 😀
