Philips Introduces Affordable NeoPix Smart Projectors

Screeneo Innovation, brand license partner for Philips projectors, announces the launch of its latest NeoPix Smart projector series. The new line-up, featuring the NeoPix 230 Smart, NeoPix 550 Smart, and NeoPix 750 Smart, aims to bring the joy of big-screen entertainment to households on a budget, proving that quality home cinema experiences need not break the bank.

NeoPix 750 Smart: affordable Full HD entertainment
Set to launch this September at an accessible price point of £349, the flagship NeoPix 750 Smart leads the series with features typically found in more expensive models. This projector offers True Full HD 1080p resolution and an impressive 120-inch display capability, transforming ordinary living rooms into home cinemas.

The NeoPix 750 Smart boasts 700 lumens of brightness, making it suitable for use in rooms with some ambient light. Its 3000:1 contrast ratio ensures clear distinction between light and dark areas of the image, providing depth to movies and TV shows. The projector utilises LCD technology with a single LED light source, engineered to last over 30,000 hours – equivalent to more than 10 years of daily 8-hour use.

Running on its custom Android-based LuminOS, the NeoPix 750 Smart offers easy access to popular streaming services, such as Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV, as well as local streaming solutions such as Miracast or Airplay. Its dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) ensures stable streaming, while multiple connectivity options (HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C) allow for versatile device connections. The built-in multimedia player supports a wide range of video, audio, and photo formats, eliminating the need for external media players in many scenarios.

Audio performance isn’t overlooked, with dual 7W stereo speakers providing room-filling surround sound. For those who prefer personal audio or want to connect to larger sound systems, a 3.5 mm audio output and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity are available.

NeoPix 230 Smart: compact and versatile
Launched in June at £239, the NeoPix 230 Smart brings innovation to the entry-level projector market. Its standout feature is a 180-degree rotating stand, allowing for creative projection setups on various surfaces – from walls to ceilings.

Despite its compact dimensions (239 x 140.7 x 187.9 mm) and light weight (1.38 kg) design, the NeoPix 230 Smart doesn’t compromise on image quality. It delivers native Full HD 1080p visuals up to 80 inches, with 250 lumens of brightness suitable for darkened rooms. The projector introduces an Instant Setup feature, which automatically corrects keystone issues and focusses the image, ensuring a perfect 16:9 rectangular picture with minimal fuss.

The NeoPix 230 Smart runs on LuminOS, providing access to a variety of streaming apps. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for fast, stable connections and includes Bluetooth 5.0 for audio device pairing. A unique feature is its built-in LED strip, which doubles as a bedside lamp, adding practical value beyond its projection capabilities.

NeoPix 550 Smart: balancing performance and value
Launched in August at £269, the NeoPix 550 Smart positions itself as a middle-ground option in the series. It offers Full HD 1080p resolution with a 100-inch display capability, making it suitable for medium to large rooms.

With 500 lumens of brightness, the NeoPix 550 Smart performs well in low-light conditions. It shares many features with its 750 Smart sibling, including the LuminOS operating system, dual-band Wi-Fi, and multiple connectivity options. The projector’s silent fan operation and dual 7W speakers create an immersive viewing experience without distracting noise.

Advanced features across the range
All models in the NeoPix Smart series include advanced image correction technologies such as keystone correction and 4-corner adjustment. These features ensure perfectly proportioned pictures even when the projector isn’t positioned directly in front of the projection surface – a common scenario in real-world living spaces.

The series also uniformly supports various projection modes, digital zoom, and sleep timer functions, adding to their user-friendly nature. Each model comes with a remote control, allowing for easy navigation of the smart interface and adjustment of projection settings from the comfort of one’s sofa.

The NeoPix Smart projectors all feature USB-A ports that double as power sources, enabling the connection of streaming sticks without the need for additional power outlets. This thoughtful design choice simplifies setup and reduces cable clutter.

By bringing features like Full HD resolution, smart interfaces, and advanced image correction to accessible price points, Screeneo Innovation is democratising the home cinema experience. Whether it’s the innovative design of the NeoPix 230 Smart, the balanced offering of the NeoPix 550 Smart, or the feature-rich NeoPix 750 Smart, the series offers options to suit various needs and spaces.

The Philips NeoPix Smart projector series is now available for purchase, with the NeoPix 750 Smart joining its siblings on the market this September.
