OnePlus rolls out Oxygen OS 3.2.4 update, which will fix several issues with the OnePlus 3.
The Chinese mobile phone maker announced the OnePlus 3 in mid-June. However, since its launch customers have reported several issues with the phone. OnePlus has also released several updates in the last few weeks, but the company has failed to completely address all the issues.
Some customers had reported facing problems after installing one of the updates, resulting in the company to temporarily halt the rollout. Many customers had taken on to social media and complained of issues faced with the OnePlus 3.
“I started to experience random reboots, my phone would randomly restart both in my pockets, and when I was using it. And, when it did randomly reset, it always boot looped, to get it working again I had to hold the lock button while it was rebooting, wait a few seconds, and then try to boot it again,” complained a OnePlus 3 user.
“First time on this company’s device and on Android, phone call’s are unusable for me. I can hear the other party, but they can’t hear me. Not sure what to do. Hoping for a fix, would like to keep this phone,” posted a Redditor.
OnePlus has now released Oxygen OS 3.2.4 update, which will be rolled out incrementally, to address various issued with the latest smartphone.
“We’ve provided a hotfix for the below issues and begun rolling out OxygenOS 3.2.4 for the OnePlus 3,” stated a post in OnePlus’ forum. “As usual, the rollout will be incremental. We will get everyone covered as quickly as possible.”
The handset maker has fixed the auto-reboot issue and the update also brings improved call quality. Oxygen OS 3.2.4 also implements various fixes as well as carrier optimizations. The latest update does not bring a new security patch, which means the phone remains on July security patches.
The over-the-air (OTA) OxygenOS 3.2.4 update weighs 26 MB. Customers should have at least 50 percent battery charge on their device and they should be connected to a strong Wi-Fi network to experience seamless download and installation process.
The OnePlus 3 packs in top-notch features including 6 GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3,000 mAh battery and more. OnePlus 3 is one of the handful smartphones that features 6 GB of RAM, which has also attracted many smartphone fans.
However, the 6 GB of RAM has also created issues for customer prompting the company to announce a fix.
It remains to be seen if OxygenOS 3.2.4 is able to address all issues with the OnePlus 3.
