The upcoming Oukitel U13 is not just a regular smartphone model as it can be programmed to be used as a remote controller as it comes with an infrared sensor that functions as an appliance remote control.

Looking at its specs sheet, the Oukitel U13 looks like a conventional mid-range smartphone. However, its unique set of features and capabilities will surely make it shine.
The Oukitel U13 has a set of infrared sensors, which can turn the smartphone into a remote controller for almost any type of equipment of appliance when programmed properly. Infrared sensors are quite an unconventional feature for a smartphone, but Oukitel is pushing boundaries in order to make its smartphone shine on top of the rest.
According to Giz China, the Oukitel U13 can be programmed to function as a remote control for the TV set, DVD player, projector or air conditioning system. As long as the equipment has a remote control, the Oukitel U13 can pretty much copy its functions giving users the ease and convenience of just having to manipulate one remote device for all home appliances.
Powering the Oukitel U13 is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 3GB of memory, and 64GB of storage space. It has a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and 13-megapixel front selfie snapper.
