Chinese smartphone manufacturer Ulefone has unveiled its newest creation, the Ulefone Metal. As the name suggests, the Ulefone Metal’s body is made of magnesium-aluminum alloy which not only provides strength and durability to the smartphone, but it also gives out a unique aesthetic appeal.
Ulefone used the precise CNC processing to manufacture the chassis of the Ulefone Metal. Based on a handful of photos provided by Ulefone, the Metal smartphone will have bits of plastic stripes on its antenna to increase signal reception. The rear part of the Ulefone Metal is sandblasted and is also slightly curved which makes it easier to hold, according to Giz China.
The Ulefone Metal promises impressive specs for a very competitive price.
At the heart of the Ulefone Metal is the MT6753 system-on-chip with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It has an ARM Mali-T720 graphics processing unit with 3GB of memory and 16GB of expandable storage.
The Ulefone Metal has a 5-inch display with a 720 x 1280 resolution. The smartphone has a 3,050mAh battery pack.
The Ulefone Metal has an 8-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 2-megapixel front facing camera for taking selfies. Additionally, Ulefone is using software interpolation which will enhance its rear facing camera to 13-megapixel and the front facing camera to 5-megapixel.
According to Phone Arena, the Ulefone Metal will be available in three different colors, Space Gray, Black, and Silver White. Ulefone is yet to announce the official price of the smartphone.
