An event will be held in China on July 27 where two new Xiaomi products (namely the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Mi Notebook) will be launched, an executive with the company, Boyjazz Lu, confirmed on Weibo.
Xiaomi has not made any announcements about the details of the event and what products will be released. According to Gizmo China, the abovementioned conference will be held at the Beijing National Convention Center. In Lu’s post, the first product has three letters 红米 in Chinese, which is the Redmi Note 4, and the second product five letters 小米笔记本 in Chinese, which is the Xiaomi Notebook.
The Redmi Note 4 is expected to have a dual camera setup, a metallic body, and the Helio X20 chipset. It would also have a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an angle of 178 degrees wide. The device supports dual-SIM dual-standby card and runs on MIUI 7 operating system. It comes with a 3 GB of RAM and a 64 GB of internal storage. It features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with a flashlight and phase detection autofocus and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Note 4 is packed with a 4100 mAh battery.
The device is available in black color. Its dimensions are 152 x 76 x 8.65 mm with a weight of 150 grams. Its sensors are a light sensor, gravity sensor, proximity sensor, compass, and gyroscope. Its connectivity options are FM radio, OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/A-GPS, and GLONASS.
The Xiaomi Notebook will have three screen variants, namely, 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch models that will be debuting first, and then the larger 15.6-inch model that will be revealed later, GSM Arena reported. It is expected to have an Intel Atom series chipset to provide a cheap price and a long battery life. It appears to look like the Apple MacBook with a light aluminum body.
