Sharkoon Technologies is an international supplier of high-performance, high-quality PC components and peripherals. Sharkoon is now widening its range of PC cases with the launch of two ATX midi towers that, thanks to their distinctly minimalistic look, are designed for any kind of setting or use. Both the VS8 and VS9 are available either as an office-ready version without illumination or as a gaming-focused version with a tempered-glass side panel and addressable RGB LED fans. The RGB versions are also available with a white finish.
Minimalist Cases for All Purposes
The front panels of the office-ready VS8 and VS9 standard versions are deliberately styled with a minimalist look so that the cases can easily blend into formal office environments, domestic study rooms, or home offices. To remove the heated air, a 120-millimeter fan is already pre-installed on the rear panel of these windowless cases. Depending on the application and the required performance, three additional 120-millimeter fans can be installed behind the front of the case. If even more cooling capacity is required, there is space for two more 120-millimeter or two 140-millimeter fans under the top panel of the case.
RGB Versions for Gamers
Specially for gamers, both the VS8 and VS9 are available as an RGB version, which is also available with a white finish for more brightly presented setups. Due to the low-key design of the front panels together with a large side panel made of tempered glass, the focus of these models is entirely on the built-in hardware inside the case. For more demanding, performance-hungry applications, two 120-millimeter fans are already pre-installed behind the front panel. On the rear panel, these are supplemented by another 120-millimeter fan, which, in addition, is equipped with addressable RGB LEDs. Thanks to the included RGB controller, this pre-installed RGB LED fan and, if desired, another LED component can both be illuminated either via the mainboard software, or, alternatively, with 14 pre-set lighting effects via an integrated manual control. If required, there is also space for another 120-millimeter fan behind the front panel, as well as two further 120-millimeter or two 140-millimeter fans under the top panel. Alternatively, all versions of the two cases are also designed for the simultaneous operation of two radiators, with a 360-millimeter radiator in the front of the case and a 280-millimeter radiator in the top of the case.
Spaciously Designed for Any Hardware Build
Despite the compact dimensions of 42.3 x 20.5 x 48.5 centimeters, larger hardware components will also fit into the VS8 and VS9 cases. In all versions, the length of the graphics card can be 35 centimeters, while the CPU cooler can have a height of 15.8 centimeters, and the power supply unit can have a length of 21 centimeters. All the installed hardware components are protected by three dust filters on the front, top and bottom of the case. The filters can be easily removed and cleaned, whenever required.
Modular Options for Connections and Data Storage
The VS8 and VS9 also offer same installation possibilities when it comes to data storage: For up to two 3.5-inch hard drives and four 2.5-inch SSDs there is a choice of installation locations, whether behind the mainboard tray, on the power supply tunnel, or on the integrated HDD/SSD cage. As far as connectivity is concerned, the standard, office-ready versions rely on two proven USB 3.0 ports as well as an older USB 2.0 port. In addition, there are, of course, the obligatory audio ports, and all the connections can be easily reached on the top of the case. Instead of a Type-A USB 2.0 port, the RGB versions offer a USB Type-C connection for the fast and easy transfer of mobile data.
