Tobii and Microsoft have announced that they will join forces to bring eye tracking to Windows 10.
Microsoft has named the feature “Eye Control” and it’s based on an idea that was initially developed as a way for people with ALS to drive their wheelchair using the movement of their eyes and controls on a computer screen.
With Tobii being one of the biggest companies dedicated to eye tracking, and the fact that they have already implemented their technology in several games and softwares already, it makes sense that Microsoft chose to partner with Tobii to make Eye Control a reality.
Eye Control will use the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C to track where a person is looking on a screen. At the moment this feature is available to those who are a part of Windows Insider and all you need to test it is the latest Insider build and a Tobii Eye Tracker 4C.
