When Nvidia first announced that none reference variations of their new GTX 1070Ti cards would be clocked at the same speed as the Founders Edition many people speculated that Nvidia would lock consumers out of overclocking their cards, this information turned out to be false according to tech YouTuber BitWit.
The YouTuber was able to pull off a 140mhz overclock on the core and 300mhz overclock on the memory. During benchmarks the overclocked card was able to perform as well or better than a stock Founders Edition GTX 1080 and scored over 10,000 in 3DMark’s Fire Strike Extreme benchmark.
