USB 2.0 Testing
To get things started I plugged the adapter into my netbook which has USB 2.0 ports. It was very nice to be able to add another monitor for browsing the internet or writing up papers. If you want to watch video on USB 2.0 it might not be the best idea but you can do it even if it is a little choppy. Gaming on it is non-existant and becomes a lagfest unless you want to play a game like plants vs. zombies.
USB 3.0 testing
Once it was installed on my desktop computer with USB 3.0 this is where it really would shine. I was easily able to watch video and use it as a normal monitor. However gaming at 1920×1200 became slightly laggy in metro 2033 even with my Radeon 7970. For watching videos there are no problems at all though. But if you intend on using it for gaming it might be a better idea to use the connections on your video card for intense games, but casual games should be fine over USB 3.0.
